Susan Burghart brings Somerset to life for famous family cider makers, Thatchers

A lot of us have a cautionary booze story. That drink that you just shouldn’t have… Tequila, for example, being the nemesis of many. For the person writing this bit of CIA copy it’s cider and while I won’t tell my particular story here, it involves a pool table and a lifetime ban from a particular pub. But if anything could lure me back to the aromatic golden bubbles of an icy cold glass of cider it’s this gorgeous new summer-ready illustration project arriving on shelves as we speak.

Commissioned by Cookchick agency this idyllic bit of West Country scenery, as imagined by Susan Burghart, is gracing glasses, packaging and merch celebrating the Tatchers HQ at Myrtle Farm in Somerset. “With a farmer at work amongst the barrels and honeybees, there was something very wholesome about illustrating for a family farm, whether large or small, and Thatchers were one of the most delightful clients I've had the pleasure of working for.”
