Playing With Fire

Ricardo Cavolo was invited to visit Starbucks headquarters to experience the roasting process first time hand: “This lifelong devotion to coffee and the fact that fire is a consistent theme in his work made Ricardo a perfect fit for illustrating the roasting chapter of our Coffee Stories series.”

After watching the roasting process come to life, Ricardo created a mural in his bold, bright, vibrating style and portrayed the master roaster as a thousand-year-old deity with immense wisdom and uses birds to represent drops of coffee lying joyfully onto one’s palate. “Roasting coffee is just like art. For both, you need instinct and technique, and to be constantly evolving and adding new ideas to your process,” said Ricardo.

A breeze of summer just landed in the UK and brought with it the joyful work of Aitch working her magic in rebranding a new residential scheme in Hackney. Inspired by the green expanse of Hackney Downs, Aitch’s playful pattern is based on a variety of plants that are indigenous to the area.

Show Time!

From Audrey Hepburn to Marge Simpson, Stanley Chow new exhibition “Mannequin” celebrates female icon, art & pop culture.

“I entered the world of illustration, focusing initially on fashion 20 years ago. However over the years the work you take on doesn’t necessarily reflect the work you want to do (…) I wish I did more fashion illustration and with this exhibition, this is me wanting to scratch that itch.”

Until the end of April, you can find an insight into Stanley early work at Artisan in Manchester.

Into Action

It’s not the first time that Good Wives & Warriors have been commissioned for live art painting. Samsung employed the duo's expertise for the promotion of their latest model, Galaxy Note. The process involved an entire day filming whilst the duo created the wall painting they had designed and live drawn directly onto the phone. Impressive stuff!

Mural Magic

Now that's what I call street art! The most impressive artwork in the most impressive proportions, Ricardo Cavolo's latest work is both punchy and uplifting. Renowned for his explosive and riotus campaiging, his work remains human at it's core. We are in awe of his latest mural.
