End of Days

Lou Beach’s collages could be confused with a scene from Salvador Dali’s paintings. A strong narrative and surrealist feeling that led Lou to create some of the most famous album covers such as Everybody by Madonna or Dude Ranch by Blink 182. In a completely different register, Lou is coming up with a solo exhibition in Jack Fischer Gallery in Los Angeles from April 7th. “I have heard it said that anyone can make a collage and that it is child’s play, but I find it difficult; each work is a laborious task of discovery and invention with numerous mistakes, false starts, delusions, distractions and dead ends before the picture and its meaning reveals itself. My intention is always to create something poetic, but inevitably end up with a cartoon or fairy tale. I work in chaos.”

Apolo

Neoclassicism with a twist! This is humbly how we would describe David de las Heras's unique style. He creates perfect harmony between shadow and light. With a narrative approach, David’s endearing and expressive portraits have led him to an exhibition at the Art fair “Drawing Room” in Madrid, a real treat for the eyes!

Show Time!

From Audrey Hepburn to Marge Simpson, Stanley Chow new exhibition “Mannequin” celebrates female icon, art & pop culture.

“I entered the world of illustration, focusing initially on fashion 20 years ago. However over the years the work you take on doesn’t necessarily reflect the work you want to do (…) I wish I did more fashion illustration and with this exhibition, this is me wanting to scratch that itch.”

Until the end of April, you can find an insight into Stanley early work at Artisan in Manchester.
